What is the difference between black and white files?

1. Black files are composed of silicon carbide, which makes them harder but also more brittle. The abrasive of white files consists of aluminum oxide, which makes them more plastic, softer, and more wear-resistant.
2. Black files have a sharp-shaped abrasive that sharpens itself during the filing process. White files have a fine, rounded abrasive grain that does not injure the nail plate.
3. Black files do not have a stearate coating, which prevents clogging with organic dust. White replaceable files are coated.
4. Black ones work well with wet nail filings. White ones work better with dry nail filings.
5. Black is less hygienic to work with, while white files do not show stripes or grooves after filing, and light abrasive particles are not visible when they get on artificial material during nail extension.
