This carbide bit is used for shaping acrylic and gel nails: rough filing, filing under the nails, and adjusting shape and length. They can also be used to file away lifts, remove gel and gel polish, and perform pedicures.

Care for carbide bits:

It is safest to store the bits in a special, lockable holder. Bits must be disinfected, cleaned, and sterilized after each use and for each client.

Immediately after use, place the bit in a disinfectant solution; do not rinse it under water beforehand. After you have disinfected the bit, rinse it under cold running water.

Next, clean the handpiece. For ceramic handpieces, use special brass brushes, which are also effective for cleaning carbide handpieces.

After that, proceed to sterilization—either thermal (glass bead sterilizer, dry heat oven, autoclave) or chemical (concentrates).

Any type of handpiece can be cleaned thoroughly and quickly in an ultrasonic cleaner. It uses the principle of cavitation, so your instruments are not only disinfected but also cleaned at the same time.

The abrasiveness of the burs is indicated by colored markings:

green – hard
