Care for diamond burs:
It is safest to store the bits in a special, lockable holder. Bits must be washed and cleaned after each use. To clean ceramic and carbide bits, use special brass brushes or regular brushes with stiffer bristles. Any type of bur can be cleaned quickly and thoroughly in an ultrasonic cleaner. They must be sterilized and, before use, also disinfected.
The grit of the cutters is indicated by colored markings:
- green —hard
- blue – medium stiffness
- red – softer
