Care for diamond burs:
It is safest to store the bits in a special, lockable holder. The burs must be washed and cleaned after each use. To clean ceramic and carbide burs, use special brass brushes or regular brushes with stiffer bristles. Cleaning any burs is quick and effective in an ultrasonic cleaner. They must be sterilized and also disinfected before use.
The grit of the cutters is distinguished by colored markings:
- green—hard
- blue – medium stiffness
- red – softer
